Job summary

Marylebone Services is screening candidates for a boutique nursery near Finchley Road. You will lead the Toddler Room, guiding learning, care and development for children aged 18 months to 2.25 years, in a warm, home-from-home setting.

As Room Leader you’ll supervise up to eight practitioners, plan engaging activities, partner with parents, and uphold EYFS safeguarding standards in a full-time role with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification (or equivalent).
• Proven leadership experience supervising a small team.
• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead the toddler room, ensuring a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.
• Manage and support a team of up to 8 practitioners.
• Plan age-appropriate activities for children 18 months to 2.25 years.
• Build strong partnerships with parents and carers through open communication.
• Maintain safeguarding and EYFS compliance across daily operations.

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Lead the Room: Oversee the daily operations of the toddler room, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
• Team Management: Guide, mentor, and inspire a dedicated team of up to 8 practitioners.
• Curriculum Planning: Deliver creative, age-appropriate activities tailored to children aged 18 months to 2 and a quarter.
• Parent Partnerships: Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and carers through excellent communication.
• Safeguarding: Maintain the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and compliance with EYFS guidelines.

What We Are Looking For

• Qualifications: A minimum Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification (or equivalent/above).
• Leadership Experience: Ideally, proven experience managing or supervising a team of up to 8 staff members.
• Right to Work: You must hold the legal right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available for this role).
