Job description

Banana Moon Billericay is recruiting for a Nursery Room Leader.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan curriculum activities with colleagues in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Coordinate early years foundation stage training.
• Create a warm, caring, and stimulating environment for children.
• Work collaboratively within a team, sharing responsibilities.
• Support management in leading the nursery team and daily operations.
• Ensure high-quality care and education, adhering to policies and legislative requirements.
• Mentor and supervise staff, fostering ambitious practice and professional development.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming setting that encourages children's growth and parental trust.
• Promote the nursery's reputation through community engagement and excellent customer service.
• Act as a designated coordinator based on skills or training, as assigned by the Nursery Manager.

Available schedules:

• 10-hour shifts
• 8-hour shifts
• Day shifts, Monday to Friday
• Overtime and weekend availability

Minimum Requirements:

• Safeguarding and supervising children at all times.
• Build strong partnerships with parents, including participation in review meetings and daily feedback.
• Take on key worker responsibilities, observing and planning for children's needs, and providing stimulating activities.
• Track children's progress using the Parent App.
• Adhere to nursery policies and procedures.
