About the Role: A vibrant and nurturing nursery in Borehamwood is seeking a dedicated and experienced Room Leader to take charge of one of our age-specific rooms. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified early years professional who is passionate about delivering outstanding care and education, and ready to step into a leadership role within a supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and delivery of a rich, engaging curriculum in line with the EYFS
Create a warm, stimulating environment that supports children's learning and development
Act as a key person, building strong relationships with children and families
Support and mentor practitioners within the room, helping to maintain high standards
Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies
Carry out observations, assessments and reports to monitor child progress
Requirements:
Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent)
Experience working with children aged 0-5 in a nursery setting
Strong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements
Proven ability to lead a small team or previous experience as a senior practitioner
Passionate, organised, and committed to delivering high-quality care
