Job summary

Nala Recruitment is seeking a Nursery Practitioner for a part-time role in Newark. You will provide high-quality care and education, supporting development through engaging activities and positive interactions.

The role requires a caring, patient and team-oriented approach, with a relevant Early Years qualification desirable and previous nursery experience beneficial. Hours are 11:00am-2:00pm, Mon-Fri.

Qualifications

• Early Years qualification (Level 2 or 3) desirable/required depending on role.
• Previous nursery or Early Years experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children.
• Support learning through age-appropriate activities.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Assist with planning and delivering engaging activities based on interests and development.
• Observe and record children's progress and contribute to learning journeys.
• Ensure children's health, safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Assist with personal care needs when required.
• Work as part of a wider nursery team.
• Follow nursery policies and safeguarding requirements.

Nursery Practitioner (Lunch Cover)

Location: Newark

Salary: £12.90ph to £13.30ph Salary will depend on Qualification and experience

Hours: 11:00am-2:00pm (15hr p/w), Mon-Fri

Contract: Permanent

Nala Recruitment are currently working with a welcoming and supportive nursery setting who are looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join their team on a part-time basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and motivated Early Years professional who is passionate about supporting young children and helping them develop, learn and thrive in a safe and stimulating environment.

The Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play an important role in providing high-quality care and education for children, supporting their development through engaging activities and positive interactions.

• Providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children
• Supporting children's learning and development through age-appropriate activities
• Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging activities based around children's interests and development
• Observing and recording children's progress and contributing to their individual learning journeys
• Ensuring children's health, safety and wellbeing are maintained at all times
• Supporting children with their personal care needs where required
• Working effectively as part of a wider nursery team
• Following the nursery's policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements
• Creating an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported

About You

• Confident in creating fun and engaging learning experiences

A relevant Early Years qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years Education and Childcare is desirable/required depending on the role.

Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting would be beneficial.
