Job summary

Nala Recruitment are seeking a Nursery Practitioner for lunch-cover hours at a welcoming nursery in Birstall, Leicester. The role is permanent and part-time, 11:00am–2:00pm, Monday to Friday, with a competitive hourly rate.

You will provide high-quality care and education, support children's development through engaging activities, and work closely with parents and colleagues to ensure wellbeing and inclusive learning.

Nursery Practitioner (Lunch Cover)

Location: Birstall, Leicester

Salary: Up to £14.50 per hour

Hours: 11:00am-2:00pm (15hr p/w), Mon-Fri

Contract: Permanent

Nala Recruitment are currently working with a welcoming and supportive nursery setting who are looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join their team on a part-time basis.

The Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play an important role in providing high-quality care and education for children, supporting their development through engaging activities and positive interactions.

• Providing a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children
• Supporting children's learning and development through age-appropriate activities
• Building positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues
• Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging activities based around children's interests and development
• Observing and recording children's progress and contributing to their individual learning journeys
• Ensuring children's health, safety and wellbeing are maintained at all times
• Supporting children with their personal care needs where required
• Working effectively as part of a wider nursery team
• Following the nursery's policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements
• Creating an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

A relevant Early Years qualification such as Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years Education and Childcare is desirable/required depending on the role.

Previous experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting would be beneficial.
