Job summary

Bright Horizons Basingstoke Day Nursery and Preschool is seeking a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner to join our team in Basingstoke, Hampshire. You will plan, deliver and reflect on engaging activities that support children's learning and development, in a safe, welcoming setting.

The role requires a Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification, a passion for inclusive learning, and a solid understanding of EYFS and safeguarding.

starting from £27,010 per annum (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

We’re looking for a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner to join our Bright Horizons Basingstoke Copper Beeches Day Nursery and Preschool, situated within a walking distance to the Town Centre, with a super easy bus route.

The nursery has stunning expansive gardens, dedicated children’s kitchen, 7 base rooms, large onsite parking, staff children attend and flexible shifts. In addition, there’s a large staff room to relax in, training opportunities, wellbeing is at the heart of the Nursery, and a robust and supportive induction programme.

The Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones. You will create a safe environment that allows children the freedom to express themselves, engage their minds, and help to foster a lifelong love of learning.

What we’re looking for

• Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification


• Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments


• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)


• Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection


• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers
