Job summary

Bright Horizons in Bishops Stortford is seeking an Early Years Practitioner to join our purpose-built nursery. You will plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities tailored to each child, supporting development and safeguarding in a warm, inclusive setting.

We offer a starting salary of £28,000 per annum, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with benefits including childcare discounts, enhanced parental leave, pension and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 2 or above Early Years qualification is required.
• Strong passion for creating inclusive learning environments.
• Solid understanding of EYFS and safeguarding.

• Create a safe, nurturing environment that supports children's learning and wellbeing.

The purpose-built nursery consists of six rooms, three baby rooms, two toddler rooms and a large pre‑school room. The nursery boasts a beautiful baby terrace on the first floor for under two's along with a well designed garden consisting of a Forest and growing area along with an area for relaxing/creating.

Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will plan, create, implement and reflect on engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones. You will create a safe environment that allows children the freedom to express themselves, engage their minds, and help to foster a lifelong love of learning.

What we’re looking for

• Full and relevant Level 2 or above Early Years qualification
• Passion for creating fun and inclusive learning environments
• Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents/ carers
