Job summary

GSL Education invites applications for a Nursery Practitioner in Altrincham. You will support a group of children, delivering EYFS activities, tracking development, and forming strong links with families.

This role fits both full-time and part-time temporary positions with shifts between 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM, roughly 40 hours weekly. Ideal candidates hold a Level 2+ NVQ/Diploma in Early Years or Childcare, have 0–5 years experience, and are committed to safeguarding and playful, child-centered

• Experience working with 0–5s in an early years setting.
• Solid understanding of EYFS and safeguarding procedures.

Job Title: Nursery Practitioner

Hours: ~40 hours per week (Monday – Friday, rotas between 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)

Salary: £14.25 - 16.83 per hour (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and energetic Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our Nursery team in Altrincham Nurseries. In this role, you will help create a safe, dynamic, and nurturing environment where young children can learn, play, and thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a Key Person for a group of children, tracking their individual development and milestones.

• Plan and lead creative, engaging activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

• Foster strong, positive partnerships with parents and carers through clear daily communication.

• Ensure high standards of child safety, safeguarding, hygiene, and emotional well-being at all times.

What We Are Looking For

• Qualifications: Full and relevant Level 2+ NVQ/Diploma in Early Years or Childcare equivalent.

• Experience: Experience working in an early years setting with ages 0–5.

• Knowledge: Sound understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures.
