Job summary

TeacherActive is working with a well-established private day nursery in Cheadle Hulme, providing a caring environment for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. The 40-hour-per-week permanent role starts in November 2026 and focuses on supporting daily learning, play and care routines.

You will plan activities in line with the EYFS and work closely with families and colleagues to uphold high standards of care and development.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare.
• Minimum of 3 months’ UK nursery experience.
• Solid knowledge of the EYFS framework.
• Caring, proactive and reliable approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a well-established private day nursery in Cheadle Hulme, providing a caring and welcoming environment for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. The setting benefits from bright, spacious learning areas and a large secure outdoor space, with a strong focus on purposeful play, curiosity, confidence and supporting each child’s individual development.

The nursery is looking to take on a qualified Nursery Practitioner on a permanent, full-time basis, working 40 hours per week from November 2026. The successful Nursery Practitioner will support children with their daily learning, play and care routines, plan engaging activities in line with the EYFS and work closely with colleagues and families to maintain consistently high standards of care.

The successful Nursery Practitioner will have:

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare
• A minimum of 3 months’ experience working within a UK nursery
• Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage / EYFS
• A caring, proactive and reliable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
