Job summary

Willingcare is seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner for a full-time role in Fleet. The position offers 41 hours per week with a salary up to £29,800, in a warm, home-from-home nursery setting that emphasizes outdoor play and hands-on exploration.

You will deliver high-quality care and education aligned with EYFS, plan engaging activities, and monitor children’s progress while building strong partnerships with parents and carers. A Level 3 qualification is essential.

Qualifications

  • Applicants MUST hold a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification to be considered.
  • Previous nursery or early years experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of the EYFS framework.
  • Warm, caring and enthusiastic approach to children.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Support children’s learning through play-based and sensory activities.
  • Plan engaging indoor and outdoor activities to encourage development.
  • Observe and monitor children’s progress and wellbeing.
  • Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment.
  • Encourage children’s confidence, independence and creativity.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents and carers.
  • Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Work closely with colleagues to maintain high standards throughout the nursery.

Nursery Practitioner

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and caring Nursery Practitioner to join a warm and welcoming early years setting within a beautifully converted house.

The nursery offers a bright, engaging, and home-from-home environment where children are encouraged to explore, create, and thrive. Each age-specific room has been carefully designed with stimulating toys, sensory resources, and educational learning tools to support every stage of a child’s development.

A strong emphasis is placed on outdoor learning, with children benefiting from spacious natural play areas, outdoor activities, and exciting mud kitchens that inspire curiosity, imagination, and hands‑on exploration every day.

  • Level 3 Early Years or above – Essential
  • Previous nursery or early years experience
