Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Nurse / EYFS Teaching Assistant to support a large Early Years setting in Hexham, Northumberland. This full-time role is temporary/permanent, with a salary of £462.80-£500 per week, and a contract from October 2026 to July 2027.

You will provide classroom support, assist with daily routines, promote positive behaviour and support play-based learning in line with EYFS.

Qualifications

• Level 3 EY Educator qualification required.
• Experience working with pupils with SEND.
• Passion for the progress of primary pupils.
• Able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support in Nursery and Reception.

The School and Role

Vision for Education is seeking a Level 3 Nursery Nurse to support a large Early Years setting across Nursery and Reception in Hexham. The role includes providing classroom support, assisting with daily routines, promoting positive behaviour, and supporting play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework. Some 1:1 SEN support may be required. A relevant Level 3 qualification and recent EYFS experience are essential, and a first aid qualification is desirable.
