We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced Nursery Manager to lead our Nursery class.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day organisation and management of the nursery class, with key responsibilities including:

  1. Planning and delivering an engaging and age-appropriate curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and our school's nursery curriculum plan.
  2. Monitoring, assessing, and reporting on pupils' progress and attainment.
  3. Leading and supporting nursery staff in delivering high-quality learning experiences.
  4. Organising and managing the nursery learning environment to ensure it is stimulating, safe, and inclusive.
  5. Acting as the main point of contact for parents, including leading parent meetings and providing regular updates on children's development.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience of the EYFS curriculum, a strong track record of delivering whole-class carpet sessions, and early years teaching, along with proven ability to plan, prepare, assess, and monitor learning effectively.

This position is particularly suitable for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or a Senior Early Years Practitioner (EYP) who has experience leading learning and is ready to take on the added responsibility of full class leadership, including curriculum planning and assessment.

The Meadows Primary Academy is an ambitious and inclusive community school passionate about delivering high-quality education. Our staff are innovative, hardworking, and motivated.

At The Meadows, we aim to give our children the very best. Our mission focuses on children and adults, with high expectations for our school community. Our 6 core values define our 'personal excellence' and underpin all we do.

Shaw Education Trust is a thriving group of diverse schools, including Primary, Secondary, and Special Schools, working together to improve young people's lives. Sponsored by Shaw Trust, a charity focused on transforming lives, we provide education to children of all ages and abilities. Our dedicated staff ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed, regardless of their starting point.

We believe everyone has the potential to be extraordinary! Our growing number of primary schools within the trust pursue excellence through research-based collaboration and innovation. Our Trust-wide 3D Primary curriculum and pioneering Digital Strategy aim to create inspiring, energetic, and immersive learning experiences, enabling every child to flourish in a caring and stimulating environment, fully prepared for their next stage of life and learning.

We recognize that the quality of teaching in primary school significantly impacts children's social behavior and intellectual development. Early experiences and strong partnerships among home, pre-school, and primary school are vital to setting a foundation for success.

Unlike other MATs, we do not enforce a uniform curriculum. Instead, we support each school to offer a program that deepens knowledge, develops skills, sparks imagination, and fosters curiosity.

Our schools span from Birmingham to Bury, supporting students from diverse backgrounds. We strive to ensure all children access high-standard education and are treated equally.

Shaw Education Trust offers the following employee benefits:

  • Excellent Local Government Pension Scheme (Support Staff) / Teachers Pension (Teaching Staff)
  • Generous holiday entitlement starting from 37 days, rising to 39 days after 5 years (including Bank Holidays)
  • Electric Car Scheme
  • Medicash Health & Wellbeing Plan
  • DiscountForTeachers Scheme and exclusive discounts from major brands
  • Free Eye Tests
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Access to the Institute of Education and professional development opportunities

  • Support from experienced leaders and inspectors
  • Opportunities to work across different schools within the Trust
