Job summary

Little Pioneers in Woolwich is seeking a dedicated Cook to act as the nursery’s nutrition expert, preparing and serving healthy, balanced meals for children. You’ll support families in making nutritious choices and uphold the highest standards of safety and compliance with Food Standards Agency guidelines.

The role requires an Enhanced DBS check (costs covered), Food Hygiene level 2, and experience in catering for large numbers. Flexible, supportive environment with a 4-day week option.

Qualifications

• Requires Enhanced DBS check; costs covered by employer.
• Food Hygiene level 2 or equivalent.
• Knowledge of food safety, HACCP and COSHH requirements.
• Experience in catering for large numbers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve healthy, nutritionally balanced meals.
• Educate children and families on balanced food choices.
• Ensure compliance with Food Standards Agency and nursery policies.
