Job summary

Co-op Childcare at Little Pioneers nursery is seeking a Cook to lead nutrition within the kitchen, preparing and serving healthy meals and teaching children about balanced eating. You will work with the team to maintain high standards and comply with food safety policies.

Qualifications

• An Enhanced DBS check is required (costs covered).
• Food Hygiene level 2 or equivalent.
• Sound knowledge of food safety, HACCP and COSHH requirements.
• Experience in catering for large numbers.

What will the role involve?

As our Cook, you will be the expert nutritionist for the nursery, responsible for the preparation and serving of healthy and nutritionally balanced meals. You will support the team to enable families to make healthy food choices and educate our children in the importance of balanced food choices. Working alongside our society’s policies and procedures, you will ensure compliance with the Food Standards Agency and work to the highest standards.
