Overview

Nursery Assistant and Nursery Room Leader

Are you passionate about working with children and looking for a dynamic role in a vibrant school environment? As a Nursery & Junior School Assistant or Room Leader, you will play a crucial role in the daily life of our junior school and nursery. We are currently seeking level three qualified Nursery Room Leaders and level two qualified Nursery Assistants to join our team of Nursery and EYFS staff to provide our girls with an excellent start to their educational journey. We are looking for an individual with a passion for working with, supporting and developing Nursery and EYFS aged children (2-4), someone who is professional, caring and full of enthusiasm for working within this setting.

Working patterns can vary between the hours of nursery opening which is 07:30 - 18:00, with shift patterns either starting at 07:30, or finishing at 18:00. This vacancy is across 3 days (Wednesday to Friday) as part of a job share, for a total of 15 hours per week per role.

Responsibilities / What you will do
  • Support Nursery and EYFS aged children (2-4) and contribute to their learning and development.
  • Assist in delivering the EYFS curriculum and contribute to creating a positive, engaging learning environment.
  • Promote outdoor learning and participate in Forest School activities where applicable.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan, observe and support teaching and learning outcomes.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Nursery Room Leader: Level 3 qualified
  • Nursery Assistant: Level 2 qualified
  • Passion for Early Years education and for promoting learning and development
  • Strong communication skills and ability to enthuse and inspire pupils and colleagues

Nursery Room Leader: Actual pay 11,321.25- 12,060.42 (equivalent to 14.51- 15.46 per hour)

Nursery Assistant: Actual pay 10,869.99- 11,094.99 (equivalent to 13.94- 14.22 per hour)

Hours: 15 per week

Required from: September 2025

Contract: Part-time, job share

Annual Leave: 30 days plus bank holidays
