Job summary

TeacherActive is helping a Forest School in Cropwell Bishop find a caring Nursery Assistant to support children outdoors. You'll help with play, exploration and learning, and contribute to a safe, supportive environment.

The role is suitable for someone patient, enthusiastic, confident with Early Years, and happy to work outdoors in all seasons. 4 days a week or 5 shorter days, with competitive pay and ongoing development opportunities.

Location: Cropwell Bishop

Days: 4 days per week OR 5 shorter days

TeacherActive is working with a lovely Forest School setting in Cropwell Bishop that is looking for a Nursery Assistant to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a more hands‑on approach to Early Years education, supporting children to build confidence, independence and curiosity through outdoor play, exploration and engaging activities.

What you'll be doing:

• Supporting children with learning through play and exploration
• Getting involved in fun, creative outdoor activities
• Creating a safe, caring and stimulating environment
• Supporting children's individual development and wellbeing
• Working closely with the wider nursery team
• Building positive relationships with children and parents

We're looking for someone who is:

• Caring, patient and enthusiastic
• Confident working with Early Years children
• Happy working outdoors in all seasons
• Reliable and able to use their initiative
• A great team player with strong communication skills
• Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualified is desirable
