Job summary

Additional Resources is seeking an experienced Nursery Area Manager to lead two nurseries in Alton and Liss, Hampshire. You will provide operational and educational leadership, supporting nursery managers to deliver high standards of childcare, education and safeguarding across both settings.

This full-time, permanent role requires a hands-on leader who travels between sites, develops teams, and ensures EYFS delivery, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.

• Proven nursery management and leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Providing operational and leadership support across the Alton and Liss nurseries.
• Coaching and developing Nursery Managers and their teams.
• Ensuring high standards of childcare, education and EYFS delivery across both settings.
• Monitoring nursery performance and supporting managers with priorities.
• Managing staffing levels, rotas and resources.
• Recruitment, induction, training and development of nursery teams.
• Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety and regulatory compliance.
• Supporting Ofsted readiness and post-inspection improvements.
• Maintaining records on children's learning, development and wellbeing.
• Building relationships with parents and the wider nursery community.
• Supporting outdoor learning and Forest School activities.
• Travelling between Alton and Liss to provide hands-on leadership.

Nursery Area Manager / Senior Nursery Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Nursery Area Manager / Senior Nursery Manager to join an established childcare provider, taking responsibility for two nursery settings across Alton and Liss, Hampshire.

As a Nursery Area Manager / Senior Nursery Manager, you will provide leadership and operational oversight across both settings, supporting the nursery management teams to deliver consistently high standards of childcare, education and safeguarding.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Nursery Manager looking to progress into a multi-site leadership position, or an existing Area Manager seeking a role where they can have a genuine impact across two settings.

This full-time permanent position offers a salary of up to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, together with an excellent range of benefits.

You will be responsible for:

• Providing operational and leadership support across the Alton and Liss nurseries.
• Supporting, coaching and developing Nursery Managers and their wider teams.
• Ensuring consistently high standards of childcare, education and EYFS delivery across both settings.
• Monitoring nursery performance and supporting managers with operational priorities.
• Ensuring staffing levels, rotas and resources are effectively managed.
• Supporting recruitment, induction, training and ongoing development of nursery teams.
• Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety and regulatory requirements are consistently maintained.
• Supporting both settings in maintaining high standards in preparation for and following Ofsted inspections.
• Monitoring childrens learning, development and wellbeing and ensuring appropriate systems and records are maintained.
• Building strong relationships with parents, staff and the wider nursery communities.
• Supporting the delivery and development of outdoor learning and Forest School activities.
• Travelling regularly between the Alton and Liss settings to provide visible, hands-on leadership.

What we are looking for:

• Strong experience working within a nursery or early years environment.
• Proven nursery management and leadership experience.
• A Level 3 Early Years qualification, Early Years degree or equivalent.
• Strong working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
• Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety and regulatory requirements.
• Experience supporting and developing nursery teams and managers.
• Background working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• An interest in Forest School and outdoor learning.
• A hands-on leadership style with the ability to work effectively across two settings.
• A full UK driving licence and valid DBS.
