Job summary

JEM Childcare Solutions Limited in the Chorley area is seeking a Senior Nursery Manager to support three settings, covering compliance, quality, training, and assisting managers in the day-to-day running of the settings.

The role offers a salary around £40,000 depending on experience, with opportunities to lead across multiple sites and drive improvements in safeguarding, EYFS standards, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Level 3+ Early Years / Childcare qualification.
• 6+ years’ experience in early years; 2+ years in management or team-leading roles; 1 year across multiple settings.
• Experience leading Ofsted inspections; strong EYFS, safeguarding and health & safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support 3 settings with compliance, quality and training.
• Assist managers in day-to-day operations across settings.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality care and learning while meeting statutory requirements.

Essential for the Senior Nursery Manager Role

• Level 3 or above Early Years / Childcare qualification (full and relevant)
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in early years, including 2 years’ in a management or team-leading role, and at least 1 year as supporting and leading across multiple settings
• Experience leading Ofsted inspections
• Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and health & safety practices
• Experience managing nursery teams, occupancy, and budgets
• Deliver high-quality care and learning while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
