Job summary

Showcase Training is recruiting a Nursery Apprentice for a local Clanfield nursery. The role offers 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with training provided to achieve Early Years Practitioner Level 2 or Early Years Educator Level 3 apprenticeships. You will gain hands-on experience caring for children, with progression towards full-time employment.

Wage starts at £8 per hour, increasing to National Minimum/Living Wage after 12 months. Travel to the employer daily is required.

Responsibilities

• Creating warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere for children
• Under supervision provide all aspects of care including washing, changing and feeding
• Acting as key worker for a small group of children and recording observations/planning
• Completing all Apprenticeship work as set by Showcase Training Assessor
• Assisting with meeting personal and emotional needs of individual children
• Safeguarding and promoting welfare of children
• Adhering to the nursery's policies and procedures
