Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Nurse Functional Assessor in a hybrid role in the UK. You will use clinical expertise to assess how health conditions affect daily living and contribute to DWP-related reports. A six-week training program is provided, followed by ongoing mentorship.

The role requires an NMC registration, at least 1 year post-registration experience, and the right to work in the UK. Flexible working options include full-time, part-time and hybrid arrangements.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC registration and current nursing practice license.
• At least 1 year of broad post-registration adult or mental health experience.
• Must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand impact on daily life.
• Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports for DWP eligibility decisions.
• Develop clinical knowledge with regular feedback and supervision.
