Job summary

Maximus UK is seeking a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner or Registered Mental Health Nurse to join as a Nurse Functional Assessor. You will assess how health conditions affect daily life and work on complex cases with support and mentorship.

The role includes formal training, producing PIP reports for DWP, and contributing to service improvement. You must have valid NMC registration, at least 1 year post-registration experience, and the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC registration number.
• At least 1 year of broad post-registration adult or mental health experience.
• Right to work in the UK – sponsorship not offered.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects daily life.
• Produce Personal Independence Payment (PIP) reports for the DWP to determine eligibility for benefits.
• Develop clinical knowledge and assessment skills with regular feedback and supervision.
