Job summary
Maximus in Crewe is seeking a Registered Nurse (Nurse Functional Assessor) to assess how disability or health conditions impact daily living, handling complex cases across physical and mental health domains. You will perform clinical reviews, advise case managers on PIP referrals, and report on complaints to support professional development and service improvement.
The role offers flexible full-time, part-time and hybrid options with a focus on quality, compliance, CPD and ongoing accreditation.
Qualifications
- Valid NMC registration and active practice.
- At least 1 year of broad post-registration experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.
- Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner or Registered Mental Health Nurse.
Responsibilities
- Carry out clinical reviews for PIP referrals.
- Provide guidance to case managers on complaints and enquiries (including from customers, representatives, and DWP).
- Deliver outcomes and feedback on complaints about healthcare professionals to support professional development and improve services.
- Assist in ensuring quality and compliance with professional standards.
