Job summary

Maximus is recruiting a Nurse Functional Assessor in the UK to evaluate how disabilities or health conditions affect daily living. You will handle complex physical and mental health cases, assisting patients to progress with their lives.

The role starts with a 6-week training program, followed by ongoing support and mentorship. Flexible working options include full-time, part-time, and hybrid arrangements to support work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Valid NMC registration and current practice status.
• You MUST have the right to work in the UK with no sponsorship available.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• Proficient in producing clear, detailed reports.
• Comfortable using computer software to type and generate reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand patient impact on daily life.
• Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports for DWP eligibility decisions.
• Develop clinical knowledge with regular feedback and supervision.
