Brook Street is hiring a Functional Assessor in Slough to conduct clinical assessments and produce detailed, high-quality reports. You will use your clinical judgement to assess health conditions and contribute to the evaluation process within a multidisciplinary team.

The role offers regular hours, no night shifts or weekend work, and structured career development with comprehensive training and supportive supervision.

Qualifications

• Registered healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist).
• At least 12 months' post-registration experience within the last 5 years.
• No current restrictions to practice.

Functional Assessor

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000

Location: Slough

Additional pay & bonuses:

• Guaranteed £2,000 salary uplift within your first year (subject to approval milestones and contract)
• One‑off approval bonus of 5% of salary
• Up to 10% annual performance bonus based on quality and performance

Working pattern:

Full‑time, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
Part‑time hours available

About the role

As a Functional Assessor, you'll use your clinical expertise in a new and rewarding way, carrying out functional assessments that support individuals applying for health‑related benefits. This role allows you to apply your clinical judgement while enjoying regular working hours, no night shifts, and no weekend work.

You’ll be part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based assessments. Based at one of our UK centres, you’ll benefit from a structured working environment, comprehensive training, and clear career development pathways.

What you'll do

• Conduct functional assessments and produce clear, accurate, high‑quality reports
• Use clinical judgement to assess a wide range of physical and mental health conditions
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate records in line with clinical governance and quality standards
• Engage in ongoing training, CPD, and clinical supervision
• Deliver assessments with empathy, professionalism, and integrity

What you'll need

• Be a registered healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic, or Pharmacist)
• Have at least 12 months' post‑registration experience within the last 5 years
• Have no current restrictions to practice
• Demonstrate strong communication, assessment, and report‑writing skills
