Job summary

SJB Medical is seeking a Functional Assessor in the UK to conduct clinical assessments supporting health-related benefit applications. You will work within a multidisciplinary team at a UK centre, enjoying regular hours, no night shifts, and comprehensive training.

You will apply clinical judgment to a range of conditions, deliver high-quality reports, and develop through structured career pathways in a role that prioritises patient care and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Registered healthcare professional (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Paramedic or Pharmacist).
• At least 12 months' post-registration experience within the last 5 years.
• No current restrictions to practice.
• Strong communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional assessments and produce clear, accurate, high‑quality reports.
• Use clinical judgement to assess a wide range of physical and mental health conditions.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate records in line with clinical governance and quality standards.
• Engage in ongoing training, CPD, and clinical supervision.
• Deliver assessments with empathy, professionalism, and integrity.

Job description

Guaranteed £2,000 salary uplift within your first year (subject to approval milestones and contract)

About the role

As a Functional Assessor, you'll use your clinical expertise in a new and rewarding way, carrying out functional assessments that support individuals applying for health‑related benefits. This role allows you to apply your clinical judgement while enjoying regular working hours, no night shifts, and no weekend work.

What you’ll need
