Jupiter Recruitment supports an exceptional care home in Paisley, Renfrewshire, seeking a committed Deputy Nurse Manager. You will deputise for the Home Manager, oversee resident nursing care, and lead recruitment for home-based vacancies.

The role is a permanent full-time position, 40 hours per week, with a competitive salary up to £54,121.60 per year (£26.02/hour) and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active NMC Pin and have experience in a similar role.
• Deputy Home Manager experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of CQC standards.
• Ability to engage with residents and families to deliver high-quality care.
• Excellent clinical skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Deputise for the Home Manager and ensure smooth operation of the Home.
• Lead end-to-end recruitment for Home-based vacancies.
• Monitor ill-health reports and arrange GP/professional visits as needed.
• Administer prescribed medicines and maintain records per NMC guidelines.
• Maintain accurate safeguarding, health and safety records.
• Audit care plans to ensure accuracy and currency.
• Support delivery of clinical services and nursing practices in line with regulatory requirements.

An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Deputy Nurse Manager to work in an exceptional care home based in the Paisley, Renfrewshire area.You will be working for one of UK's leading healthcare providers

This is a fantastic care home is situated in a residential area just outside Paisley offering nursing and nursing dementia care

As the Deputy Manager your key responsibilities include:

• Deputise for the Home Manager and take responsibility for delegated duties to ensure the smooth running of the Home
• Support the Home Manager, and take the lead where required, the end to end recruitment process for all Home based vacancies
• Ensure that the reporting of any ill-health amongst Residents and requests for GP/Professional visits is followed up to facilitate the appropriate care and treatment of the resident
• Administer prescribed medicines and maintain the appropriate records in line with company policies, procedures and NMC guidelines
• Ensure the maintenance of accurate records/notes (including incident reports) to meet safeguarding, health and safety and statutory legal requirements
• Audit care plans to ensure that all are accurate, up to date, and appropriate to meet resident's changing needs
• Assist the Home Manager for the delivery of clinical services and nursing practice in accordance with regulatory requirements and take responsibility within their absence

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Previous Deputy Home Manager experience
• The ability to engage with the service users to understand their needs in order to provide excellent services of care
• Good working knowledge of CQC standards
• The ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with external care professionals, families, visitors and staffing teams
• Good clinical skills
• Promote ownership of care programs by fully involving service users and their families in developing, agreeing and evaluating care programs within the home
