Job summary

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking a committed Nurse Deputy Home Manager for a leading care home in Belfast. The role oversees nursing care for residents with complex needs and dementia, with respite care options.

The Deputy Manager will lead a team, ensure high care standards, implement policies, and supervise staff, with a salary of £23.50 per hour and a permanent full-time schedule operating days. Generous benefits include holiday entitlement, training, and pension contributions.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing a team with supervision and rotas to run the home smoothly.
• Experience with quality and clinical governance programmes, audits, and care services.
• Able to support and guide others in line with the NMC Code and its guidance.
• Experience in working in the healthcare sector and delivering high standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team to deliver care that promotes choice and independence for residents.
• Achieve high care standards and ensure staff meet residents' individual needs per policies and care plans.
• Implement home policies to maintain resident care, staff welfare, and training; collaborate with the Home Manager.
• Ensure treatments are carried out as prescribed.

A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Nurse Deputy Home Manager to work in an exceptional care home based in the Belfast, Northern Ireland area.You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers

This special care home provides nursing care for those who have complex medical needs and for people living with dementia.We also provide respite care to give family or friends a well-earned break

As the Deputy Manager your key responsibilities include:

• To lead and motivate a team to deliver special experiences to residents, which promote choice and independence that make a positive difference to their daily lives
• Achieve the highest possible standards of care to enhance the resident experience by ensuring colleagues meet the individual needs of residents in accordance with company policy, regulations and Codes of Conduct and individual care plans
• Implement care home policies formulated directed towards high standards of resident care, staff welfare and training, and ensure the good reputation of the business in co-operation with the Home Manager.Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individual care of residents
• Ensure treatments are carried out as prescribed

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Experience of managing a team, ensuring all staff are supervised appropriately and rotas are in place to enable the smooth, efficient running of the home
• Experienced in quality and clinical governance programmes, including audit and care services
• Able to support and guide others in line with the NMC Code, following its guidance at all times
• Experienced in working in the healthcare sector
• Driven and motivated and believe in quality care
• An energetic, committed and approachable manager
• An inspiring leader who can motivate teams through obvious passion and commitment
