Registered Mental Health Nurse - Acute Ward

An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to work in an exceptional mental health hospital based in Marchwood, Southampton. You will be working for one of the UK's leading healthcare providers.

This hospital has established an excellent reputation for providing the highest standards of care, specialising in the management and treatment of mental health issues, including eating disorders.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must be qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a current active NMC Pin.

Key Duties:
  1. Adopt a systemic, individual approach to all patient care plans and communicate the outcomes to the clinical team both verbally and in writing, ensuring all CPA and risk assessment documentation is kept up to date.
  2. Ensure effective communication of any concerns relating to patient care.
  3. Deputise in the absence of the Ward Manager and their Deputy to manage staffing and clinical needs of the ward as required.
  4. Support and supervise new or junior staff and assist regional management in developing and implementing new services.
  5. Manage the assessment, implementation, and evaluation of individual patient care plans while promoting a professional working environment to ensure high standards of patient care.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Knowledge of NMC guidelines, requests, and professional practices.
  • Evidence of post-registration continuing professional development.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement, and quality.
  • Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practice.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Salary and Benefits:

The successful nurse will receive an excellent salary of £34,900 - £37,227 per annum. We currently have permanent vacancies for both day and night shifts. In return, you will enjoy the following benefits:
