Job summary

Healthcare Homes Group is seeking a dedicated nurse for Walcot Hall in Diss to join our caring team on nights. You will provide person-centred care, manage medications, and support residents with their daily needs in a safe, respectful environment.

The role requires current NMC registration, knowledge of MCA/DoLs, and the ability to write detailed care plans. Induction and ongoing training are provided within our established clinical training team.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration and up-to-date clinical practice knowledge.
• Experience writing detailed care plans including risk assessments.
• Good understanding of MCA/DoLs.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and care to residents' physical and psychological needs.
• Administer, document, and order prescribed medications.
• Support new admissions and discharges of residents.
• Participate in weekly GP rounds.
• Update and maintain resident care plans, liaising with external parties.
• Coach and develop the care team to deliver a high standard of care at all times.

Set in over three acres of well-kept lawns and gardens in a small hamlet adjoining the market town of Diss, Walcot Hall provides compassionate, person-centred care in a safe and friendly environment. Our dedicated and skilled team of staff ensure quality care throughout the home and seek to value and respect the uniqueness of residents and their families.

What would a typical day look like?

• Provide support and care to our residents, meeting their physical and psychological needs
• Administration, documentation and ordering of prescribed medication
• Support with new admissions and discharges of residents
• Weekly GP rounds
• Updating and maintaining resident care plans, liaising with external parties where applicable
• Coaching, supporting and developing our care team to deliver a high standard of care at all times

Our nursing team are the backbone of our home and it is essential that our team have current NMC registrations, up to date knowledge of clinical practices and experience in writing detailed care plans including risk assessments and diet plans. A good understanding of regulatory frameworks including MCA/DoLs is also required.
