Job summary

Magnus Academy in the United Kingdom is seeking a Graduate Intern for Numeracy to support students with 1:1 and small-group interventions, helping them develop confidence and mathematical understanding.

You will work with students requiring extra support to improve numeracy across the curriculum, and you will collaborate with SENCOs and teachers while tracking progress and providing feedback as part of professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate aiming for a career in education, SEND, psychology or related field.
• Calm, supportive, adaptable to different learning styles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and structured 1:1 and small group numeracy interventions.
• Support students to develop confidence and fluency in key mathematical concepts.
• Assess learners' numeracy abilities and identify strengths and areas for development.
• Work with academy provisions and departments to improve numeracy access.
• Support teachers and students in classroom settings to reinforce learning.
• Plan and adapt sessions to meet differing abilities and learning styles.
• Adapt strategies for students with additional needs, including reluctant or disengaged learners.
• Encourage enjoyment, confidence and motivation in numeracy.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, SENCOs and staff to track progress.
