Job summary

Assystem is seeking a Valve Engineer to support all aspects of valve activities for the HPC Project within the Joint Design Office (JDO). You will clarify deliverables, review specifications, and ensure compliance with nuclear standards while coordinating with multiple teams to deliver safe, reliable valve solutions.

The role requires strong technical, analytical and communication skills, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or related field.
• Experience in valve engineering across design, manufacture, installation or commissioning.
• Experience on complex projects in regulated industries (Nuclear, Energy, Oil & Gas, Defence).
• Ability to review technical specs, calculations and supplier deliverables.
• Strong communication and multi-stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Fluent English with ability to prepare clear technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Undertake technical clarifications of valve deliverables with Back Office support.
• Review valve design documentation to ensure project and nuclear standards compliance.
• Perform valve engineering assessments and functional/operational reviews.
• Coordinate valve activities across packages and systems within the JDO.
• Lead technical meetings and manage stakeholders to deliver on schedule.
