Job summary

Assystem is seeking a Valve Engineer to support the HPC Project within the Joint Design Office, focusing on valve design, data review and technical compliance. You will work with system, layout and CAD teams to ensure successful integration and delivery.

The role requires experience in valve engineering across lifecycle stages, strong stakeholder communication, and an ability to operate in a highly regulated nuclear environment. Hybrid working arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering or related field.
• Experience in valve engineering from specification to maintenance.
• Experience on complex, regulated projects (Nuclear, Energy, Defence, etc.).
• Ability to read technical specs, calculations and supplier deliverables.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management across teams.

Responsibilities

• Clarify valve deliverables for construction with Back Office support.
• Review data, specifications, equipment data sheets and docs.
• Ensure valve design complies with project requirements and codes.
• Lead valve engineering assessments and design modifications.
• Resolve valve-related queries and interface with suppliers.
