Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Valve Engineer to support the Hinkley Point C nuclear new build project. You will provide technical authority across valve systems, ensure design compliance, and work with site, design teams, suppliers and client.

Fluency in English and ability to lead complex technical discussions are essential. Experience with regulated sectors and a strong track record in valve design, qualification, and construction support will strengthen your application.

Qualifications

• A degree in Mechanical, Nuclear, or related engineering discipline.
• Proven background in industrial valve engineering within highly regulated sectors (nuclear, energy, defence, oil & gas, or power generation).
• Familiarity with valve design, qualification, supplier management, and nuclear standards or construction support.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in French is a strong advantage.
