Job summary

Babcock International seeks a Technical Author to produce and maintain controlled documentation for radioactive waste management operations at the Devonport Royal Dockyard site. The role involves collaborating with engineers and operations to ensure accuracy, compliance and safety.

Working in a highly regulated environment, you will develop specialist technical knowledge, support planning activities and contribute to national defence infrastructure and environmental safety.

Qualifications

• BTEC Level 3 qualification in STEM required.
• Recognised apprenticeship in STEM or equivalent experience.
• Relevant engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve technical procedures and operational documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, SMEs and operations to gather and validate information.
• Provide technical support for work planning, scheduling and cost estimation.
• Conduct onsite reviews to ensure documentation accuracy and currency.
• Perform quality assurance to ensure regulatory and safety compliance.
