Job summary

Mitie is recruiting an experienced Nuclear Security Shift Manager to lead security operations within a highly regulated environment across critical national infrastructure. The role focuses on delivering security services, maintaining compliance, and driving a culture of excellence for security teams.

The successful candidate will have SIA licence, Level 3 Health & Safety and First Aid training, plus strong leadership, communication and investigation skills. A minimum SC clearance is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience within protective security, security operations, supervision or operational management.
• The ability to lead operational teams and support Supervisors.
• A strong understanding of site processes, Assignment Instructions and operational requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with the workforce.
• The ability to set clear direction, reinforce standards and hold others to account.
• The ability to create and support a positive safety culture.
• A good understanding of nuclear safety expectations and security requirements.
• Attention to detail and thorough knowledge of security protocols.
• IT literate (Microsoft Office, Outlook).
• Effective resource allocation and problem-solving skills.
• Investigatory and report writing skills.
• Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain minimum SC security clearance.
