Job summary

Babcock International invites applicants to join the Nuclear Scientist and Engineer Degree Apprentice programme at Devonport. Over four years you’ll study for a Bachelors (Honours) degree while contributing to national security projects, learning from experienced engineers and gaining hands-on experience on site.

You’ll rotate through teams including Design Delivery, Safety Engineering and Reactor Product Safety, with placements nationwide and dedicated mentoring to progress toward professional

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at grade 4/C or above.
• Three A Levels at grade C or above including Maths and one STEM.
• Clearance requirements: BPSS, SC and NNPI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Study for a Bachelors (Hons) degree while working on projects.
• Gain broad experience across the nuclear lifecycle through placements.
• Work on design, analysis, simulations and technical reporting in a safety-critical environment.
