Join Babcock as a Nuclear Scientist and Engineer Degree Apprentice in Devonport, Plymouth, starting September 2027. Over four years you will study for a Bachelor’s degree while working on projects supporting national security and learning from experienced engineers on-site.

Expect placements across Design Delivery, Safety Engineering and Operations, gaining practical experience in nuclear systems, simulations, and technical reporting within a safety-critical environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English at grade 4/C or above.
• Three A Levels at grade C or above, including Maths and one other STEM subject.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering design, technical analysis, and reporting on safety-critical systems.
• Contribute to engineering calculations, simulations and modelling for nuclear projects.
• Gain broad experience across the nuclear lifecycle through placements with specialist teams.
