Job summary

Babcock International invites applications for its Nuclear Safety Engineering and Operations Graduate Programme in Plymouth. You will contribute to safe operation, maintenance and development of nuclear facilities, with rotations across the business to build broad expertise.

During the two-year programme you’ll gain structured training, mentorship, and exposure to safety cases, hazard analyses and risk assessments, working toward Chartered status and a defined career path.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths).
• Must be able to achieve BPSS, Security Check (SC) and NNPI clearance. News: UK security vetting applies.

Responsibilities

• Support safe operation, maintenance and development of nuclear and radiological facilities.
• Review engineering designs for compliance with nuclear safety standards; develop safety cases and conduct hazard analyses.
• Perform risk assessments, model scenarios and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to tackle operational challenges.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders; contribute to safety and performance of operations.
