Job summary

Dalkia, on the Hinkley Point C project, is seeking a Planning Manager to lead and optimise detailed schedules, coordinating with delivery teams, subcontractors and stakeholders. You will challenge progress, maintain robust logic and provide reliable forecasts for decision-making.

Experience in nuclear or major infrastructure planning, strong NEC/process knowledge, and the ability to mentor junior planners are highly valued as part of a broader programme integration effort.

Qualifications

• Substantial planning and scheduling experience in construction or infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on use of recognised planning software.
• Knowledge of schedule development, logic, forecasting, baseline and change control.
• Experience coordinating planning inputs with delivery teams and subcontractors.
• Experience mentoring planners and leading planning discussions.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning function for projects, developing and updating detailed schedules.
• Coordinate planners’ workloads and ensure timely delivery of planning information.
• Set planning standards and review schedule quality and dependencies.
• Lead progress reviews with delivery teams and subcontractors.
• Undertake critical path analysis and escalate schedule risks.
• Own programme forecasts, look-aheads and performance reporting.
• Challenge sequencing, durations and forecast dates for realism.
• Lead mitigation and recovery planning with delivery teams.
• Coordinate interfaces across disciplines and work packages.
• Oversee baseline management and change control.
• Prepare programme submissions and NEC related information.
• Present performance at reviews with clear recommendations.
• Coach planners and develop planning capability within the team.
• Foster relationships and promote shared ownership of the programme.
