Job summary

Senior Project Manager – Electrical at Dalkia on the Hinkley Point C programme leads strategic MEP delivery within a nuclear environment, ensuring safety, quality and on-time performance.

You will direct multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning, develop project execution plans, manage risks and govern NEC-based contracts, while upholding the Dalkia Way and nuclear safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years' experience delivering major engineering, infrastructure or construction projects.
• Proven track record managing large-scale MEP projects within highly regulated industries such as Nuclear, Energy, Defence, Rail or Petrochemical.
• Professional Project Management qualification such as APM PMQ, Prince2 Practitioner or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, construction delivery, commissioning and project lifecycle management.
• Experience managing project budgets, programme controls, risk, change and commercial performance.
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience.
• Working knowledge of NEC contracts and CDM Regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex MEP projects in a nuclear environment.
• Develop and maintain Project Execution Plans (PEPs), delivery strategies, governance arrangements and key project controls.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to quality and nuclear assurance standards.
• Drive project performance through proactive programme management, risk-based decision making and effective stakeholder engagement.
• Manage project lifecycle activities from concept, design and procurement through construction, commissioning and final handover.
• Lead project performance reviews and implement corrective actions where delivery performance falls below expectations.
• Manage key project interfaces to minimise disruption and ensure successful integration of MEP systems.
• Ensure project delivery is aligned to Dalkia Way and engineering governance requirements.
• Lead and develop Project Managers and wider project delivery teams.
• Create a collaborative, high-performing and accountable project culture aligned to nuclear safety principles.
• Develop project capability through mentoring, coaching and professional development.
• Ensure effective workforce planning and resource forecasting.
