Altrad is seeking an experienced Piping Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team within the Approval Authority. The role supports current operations and future programmes in a nuclear/high hazard environment.

Hybrid working pattern with responsibilities including design changes, safety case support, pipe stress analysis, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver robust technical justifications and assess safety submissions.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in piping engineering for industrial plant and machinery.
• Knowledge of British and European design standards.
• Experience in design assessment to withstand hazards.
• Experience in pipe stress analysis.
• Ability to author robust technical justifications for design changes.
• Minimum HNC or equivalent qualification.
• Incorporated Engineer status or equivalent experience.
• Desirable: familiarity with HAZID/HAZOP safety studies.
• Desirable: engineering degree; Chartered Engineer status.

Aufgaben

• Authoring, development, assessment and management of design changes and concessions.
• Develop EIMT Schedule, operating procedures and results to satisfy safety case.
• Produce Periodic Review of Safety reports.
• Provide advice and direction to internal and external stakeholders.
• Produce ITA/IPR scopes of work.
• Apply engineering knowledge to design, develop, manufacture, and decommission processes in a high hazard environment.
• Produce robust technical justification for design modifications.
• Review technical reports and safety case submissions from contractors.
• Check calculations and documents written by staff.
