NUVIA UK in Glasgow is seeking a Principal Piping Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team inside the Approval Authority. The role supports current operations and future programmes in a high-hazard nuclear/high-risk environment.

You will author and review design substantiations, conduct pipe stress analysis, manage safety cases, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders. Hybrid work pattern with clear career development opportunities and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in piping design for industrial plant and machinery.
• Familiarity with British and European design standards.
• Experience across concept, detailed design and construction stages.
• Experience in designing to withstand hazards and piping stress.
• Excellent authoring of technical justification and design changes.

Responsabilités

• Author / maintain Nuclear Infrastructure Design Substantiation docs.
• Author and update design changes and concessions.
• Present substantiations to due process safety committees.
• Develop EIMT schedules and operating procedures.
• Produce Periodic Review of Safety reports.
• Advise internal and external stakeholders.
• Create ITA/IPR scopes of work.
• Apply engineering methods to nuclear/high-risk environments.
• Prepare robust justification for design modifications.
• Review external contractor safety cases and calculations.
