Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear offers a 4-year Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering Apprentice programme. You’ll rotate through six-month placements, gaining hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA, reactor protection, and radiological monitoring equipment while studying toward a Nuclear Scientist and Nuclear Engineer Degree Apprenticeship standard at the University of Derby.

You will be supported by mentors, complete an EPA, and pursue professional registration as you progress toward Senior

Qualifications

• GCSEs with Maths, English and Science are required.
• A Level Maths and Physics or a STEM alternative is preferred.
• Interest in nuclear engineering and safety-critical systems is essential.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through 6-month placements across Cavendish Nuclear teams.
• Contribute to design, build and maintenance of nuclear facilities.
• Complete an integrated degree apprenticeship with End Point Assessment.
