Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician for the Sellafield site near Seascale, Cumbria. The role focuses on repair, maintenance, calibration, and testing of radiation protection instruments to ensure safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.

This permanent role offers 37 hours per week at Sellafield. You will repair, maintain, calibrate, and test instruments, provide progress updates to customers, and mentor junior staff to uphold high standards and practices

Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of conventional and nuclear safety.
• Proven experience servicing electronic instrument systems.
• Level 3 Electrical Qualification or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain instructions and record information accurately.
• Conform to local procedures, rules, and working practices to ensure compliance with specified regulatory and customer requirements.
• Provide technical advice, updates on work progress, and other relevant information to customers as required.
• Act as a mentor for other team members, including apprentices and new entrants, to ensure standards and best practices are maintained.
