Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear, part of the Babcock International Group, is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician for the Sellafield site near Seascale, Cumbria. The role focuses on repair, calibration, and testing of radiation protection instruments to ensure safety and compliance.

The 37-hour week is based at the Sellafield site with full-time permanent status. Essential qualifications include Level 3 Electrical and an Apprenticeship or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of conventional and nuclear safety.
• Proven experience servicing electronic instrument systems.

Responsibilities

• Repair, maintain, calibrate and test radiation protection instruments to meet customer work demands.
• Maintain instructions and record information accurately.
• Conform to local procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical advice and updates on work progress to customers.
• Mentor other team members, including apprentices and new entrants, to ensure standards and best practices.
