Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear, part of Babcock International Group, is seeking a Senior Control and Instrumentation Engineer to join our Grimsby or Hessle offices. The role leads design, integration and delivery of high-integrity control and instrumentation systems across complex nuclear and regulated projects, with hybrid working and 37 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, engineering and delivering control and instrumentation systems in nuclear or other highly regulated industries.
• Strong knowledge of functional safety and nuclear safety requirements (IEC 61508/61511).
• Experience with PLCs, SCADA, DCS and field instrumentation technologies.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholders.
• Experience supporting projects through design, testing, commissioning and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing and integrating control and instrumentation systems for nuclear/regulated projects.
• Ensuring compliance with safety requirements, standards and regulatory expectations.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop technical solutions.
• Supporting testing, verification, commissioning and handover activities.
• Engaging with clients, regulators, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure delivery.
