Job summary

Cavendish Nuclear is recruiting a Senior Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer to lead the design and integration of safety-critical EC&I systems across the nuclear lifecycle. The role involves working on projects from new build to decommissioning, with hybrid patterns and UK-wide locations.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, drive compliance with standards, and contribute to documentation and safety cases to protect people and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering electrical, control and instrumentation systems.
• Experience applying IEC 61508 / BS EN 61511 in regulated environments.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams on complex lifecycle projects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical, control and instrumentation designs that meet safety and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across nuclear projects.
• Produce and review technical documentation and safety case inputs.
• Engage with regulators, clients and supply chain partners for compliance and integration.
