Job summary

Mott MacDonald invites applications for a Quantity Surveyor to support our energy portfolio, with a focus on nuclear decommissioning. The role is based in Whitehaven, Warrington or Birmingham, with a hybrid working pattern and involvement in technically complex, regulated projects.

You will be responsible for cost management, NEC4 contract administration, and commercial leadership across multi‑year programmes, working with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver value and maintain

Qualifications

NEC ECC Accreditation and practical experience administering NEC4 ECC contracts.
MRICS membership or working towards it.
Experience on technically complex infrastructure projects in regulated industries.
Understanding of nuclear decommissioning or site remediation is desirable.
Experience managing contract cashflow, governance, and change control.

Responsibilities

Manage and administer NEC4 contracts in line with project governance.
Control and implement contract variations to ensure timely, compliant agreement.
Maintain accurate cost control, forecasting across long-term projects.
Improve quality and reliability of cost forecasts and budgets.
Collaborate with client, contractor and multidisciplinary teams to achieve objectives.
Support commercial activities in a regulated nuclear environment.
