Job summary

Babcock International offers the Chemical and Process Engineering Graduate Programme at Devonport, Plymouth. Over two years you will rotate through placements in Design Authority, Plant Management and Safety Case, gaining broad facilities engineering exposure and contributing to the safety and readiness of the Royal Navy.

The programme starts in September 2027 with a minimum salary of £35,000, accompanied by mentorship, extensive training, CPD support, and a clear development pathway toward

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related discipline.
• Must be able to obtain BPSS, SC and NNPP clearance.
• UK national status required for this programme.

Responsibilities

• Support work across stages of the engineering lifecycle for nuclear and radiologically implicated process systems and equipment, from concept design to decommissioning.
• Develop and modify system designs, conduct technical analysis, produce CAD drawings and technical reports.
• Perform inspections and validations, including onboard submarines, to ensure safety, reliability and performance.
