Job summary

Babcock is offering a Nuclear Safety Engineering and Operations Graduate Programme based at Devonport Royal Dockyard, Plymouth. The two-year programme provides hands-on experience in safe operation, maintenance and development of nuclear facilities, with rotations across the business and exposure to safety case work and risk analysis.

From day one you’ll receive structured support, mentorship and training aimed at Chartered/ Incorporated Engineer status.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths).
• Security Clearance: BPSS, SC and NNPI clearance may be required.
• For this programme, you must be able to achieve and maintain BPSS, SC and NNPI clearances.

Responsibilities

• Support safe operation, maintenance and development of nuclear and radiological facilities.
• Contribute to risk assessments, hazard analyses and safety case development.
• Assist in producing technical reports and presenting findings to stakeholders.
• Engage in rotational placements across the business to build broad operational understanding.
• Develop professional skills through structured mentorship and graduate development activities.
